Hello everyone, I am Fadhilla Febriani Khoiru Imroah from Jababeka Infrastructure in the Urban Heat Island position. I am very happy and excited to have the opportunity to do an internship at PT. Jababeka. 

I want to tell you a little about my internship position, namely Urban Heat Island (UHI). Maybe some of you are unfamiliar with urban heat islands. So actually, an urban heat island is a phenomenon of increasing air temperature in urban areas compared to rural areas. So what does this have to do with Jababeka? Jababeka is an industrial area in which there are various kinds of companies and activities operating in the industrial sector. This will greatly affect the surface temperature in the Jababeka environment and its surroundings. Apart from that, the Jababeka area is also surrounded by rural and residential areas. Therefore, with the existence of a UHI internship position at Jababeka Infrastructure, we can detect whether there is a UHI phenomenon in Jababeka or not. To detect the surface temperature in the Jababeka area, I use a method or approach based on satellite image data that is capable of recording the earth's surface multi-temporally so that we can find out the value of the earth's surface temperature. 

In the internship process itself, I was very grateful to be guided directly by a good mentor who was always willing to share everything with me. Every time I finish working on data processing, there will be a presentation and sharing session with the mentor. In these sessions, my mentor always provides input, direction, and new insights about many things. 

In this internship at PT. Jababeka, I hope to provide a new innovation, especially in the field of geospatial, surveying, and mapping for Jababeka, such as the digital processing of satellite image data for UHI detection in Jababeka, which is also something new for Jababeka itself.
